About the Crab Rave sound

Noisestorm released this tropical house track on Monstercat in 2018, paired it with a video of crustaceans dancing in formation, and the internet immediately understood it as the sound of something ending well. The joke has always been about celebrating an absence: a bad thing cancelled, a villain finally facing consequences, a policy quietly withdrawn. Schadenfreude rarely sounds this joyful, and it helps that the production is genuinely good. Play it whenever the correct response to news is not sympathy but dancing. The crabs have gathered. The crabs are pleased.

OriginNoisestorm's 'Crab Rave' (Monstercat), the internet's celebration anthem.
