About the Murder Mystery Shot sound

Murder Mystery 2 is a round-based Roblox game in which exactly one player is handed a gun, and this is the cue that settles the round. As sound design it does the job cheaply and well. There is no bright crack anywhere in it, just a low thump with a tail that rumbles on for the best part of two seconds, then a smaller hit near the end. Muffling the top is what makes it read as a game event instead of foley. The long tail is the awkward bit on a soundboard, since the clip keeps going after the joke has landed.
