About the Peppa Pig Intro sound
Bouncing strings, then each pig announcing itself with a snort. Peppa Pig started in 2004 as a British preschool cartoon and has since been dubbed into dozens of languages, which is how a small pink cartoon ended up giving American toddlers faint English accents — a phenomenon their parents complained about in print. The theme is short and merciless. Anyone who has raised a child this decade can hum it under duress. It also makes a fine prank on a room of adults, because recognition arrives first and dread follows about a second later.
OriginThe opening theme of Peppa Pig (Astley Baker Davies, 2004).
