About the Sus Clapping sound

Applause, technically, though nobody in the room feels reassured by it. Context did something to this clip that cannot be undone: the rhythm is slightly off, the enthusiasm is slightly excessive, and the whole thing raises more questions than it settles. Meme culture deploys it whenever clapping would be inappropriate, ironic or faintly threatening. Play it after bad performances, worse decisions, and anything being celebrated that really should not be. The hands are moving. The intent is entirely unclear. Everybody has noticed.

OriginViral 'sus' applause from the Among Us meme era.
