A wet crunch, and it is over. Among Us built its entire social experience on information asymmetry, and the kill sound is the sharpest example going: the victim hears it, the impostor hears it, and everybody else carries on wiring up the electrical panel in blissful ignorance. InnerSloth released the game in 2018 to almost no attention whatsoever, then watched it detonate in 2020 when the whole world simultaneously needed something to play over voice chat. Barely a second long, and enough to make a lobby go silent.
