About the Take the L sound

Losing in Fortnite was never allowed to be private. The Take the L emote arrived in the 2018 battle pass and instantly became the game's premier act of disrespect: an L pressed to the forehead, legs kicking through a jaunty little dance, performed over your body while you watch from spectate. Victory royales are forgotten in minutes; being Take the L'd is carried for life. The sound alone now does the work of the whole animation, deployed in edits and Discord calls wherever somebody has lost in a manner worth commemorating.
