Heartbeat

About the Heartbeat sound

Two slow lub-dub heartbeats, pitched low enough to feel in a subwoofer rather than merely hear. This is the oldest tension trick in audio. Put a heartbeat under any footage and the audience's own pulse starts negotiating with it, and horror films have leaned on that for a century. Editors use it anywhere dread wants a pulse behind it: suspense builds, jump-scare setups, the specific moment before opening exam results. Synthesised around 55 Hz for real low-end weight, and it loops cleanly if you need the tension sustained.

OriginOriginal low-frequency synthesis of a resting human heartbeat.
