Long Brain Fart

About the Long Brain Fart sound

Twelve seconds is a very long time. This marathon take simply refuses to end: six distinct movements, a peak somewhere in the middle, and a closing run of evenly spaced pops that lands like a drum fill wrapping up a solo. Nobody needs a fart this long, and the running time itself becomes the punchline somewhere around second eight. The title files it under the brain fart family of meme sounds; the audio is a fart with unusual stamina. Let it run under end credits, or use it to fill an awkward silence so completely that the silence apologises.

OriginAn extended fart recording circulated under the 'brain fart' name.
