M e o w

About the M e o w sound

Adult cats barely meow at each other. The sound is largely reserved for humans, developed specifically to manage us, so every one of them is a targeted request. Knowing that rather changes how the noise lands. This is one clean example: demanding, unspecific, impossible to ignore, in the way that only an animal that has spent ten thousand years studying our weaknesses can manage. Play it to summon cat owners, to punctuate something cute, or to communicate a need without going to the trouble of identifying it.

OriginA single clear cat meow.
