It sounds like nothing and carries the entire game: in Five Nights at Freddy's the camera flip is your only source of information and the reason you cannot see the hallway in front of you. Every check is a trade. Players learned to flick up and down in tiny nervous bursts, and this clipped hiss became the metronome of the whole thing. Works beautifully as a scene-change sting, or as the sound of somebody checking something they would rather not confirm.
