About the Mosquito Tone (15 kHz) sound

A pure 15 kHz tone, the infamous mosquito sound most teenagers can hear and most adults cannot. High-frequency hearing declines steadily with age, so this single tone doubles as a rough hearing test, a science demo and a legendary classroom prank. It was even deployed commercially as a teen deterrent outside shops, which is a genuinely strange thing to have existed. Play it in mixed company and map who still has their top end. Whoever winces first has answered the question.

OriginPure 15 kHz sine tone whose audibility drops sharply with age, hence the name.
