Soundboard
Minecraft Soundboard
Minecraft is the best-selling game ever made, and its audio has travelled even further than its sales. The hiss of a creeper reads as danger to people who have never placed a block. The villager's grunt works as a reaction with no context attached. Mojang built the game's soundscape out of small, cheap noises, and nearly all of them now have a second life as memes.

About the Minecraft Soundboard
The classics are all here. The creeper comes with its explosion attached, the closest thing the game has to a jump scare. The XP chime and the level-up sound are tiny hits of dopamine that editors drop over anything resembling progress. The ghast's wail began as a recording of a cat, which explains how it lands somewhere between animal and ghost. There are buttons for the enderman, the skeleton, the zombie, the pig, and the eating sound that has irritated a decade of YouTube viewers.
The newer arrivals came from outside the game. Chicken Jockey is the line from A Minecraft Movie (2025) that turned screenings into popcorn-throwing incidents, and Steve's Lava Chicken is a song from the same film. The Verity clips belong to a horror series built inside Minecraft, and the Russian Minecraft kid is a scream that needs no translation.
Every button plays straight from the browser. The MP3s download free for edits, stream alerts or a Discord soundboard, and each sound page carries an embed code if you would rather have the working button. No account, no launcher, no seed to write down.
Minecraft Soundboard FAQ
The questions people ask most about these sounds.
Can I download the Minecraft sounds as MP3s?
Yes. Every button on this board links to its own sound page, and each page has a free MP3 download plus a copy-paste embed code. No account is involved. People mostly take them for video edits, stream alerts and Discord soundboards, where the XP chime and the villager grunt do heavy work.
Why does the Minecraft ghast sound like a cat?
Because it started as one. The ghast's cries were originally recorded from a cat, then processed into the wail that haunts the Nether. Once you know, it cannot be unheard: there is a kitten hiding in every one of those cries, and the Nether is somehow worse for it.
What is the Chicken Jockey sound from?
A Minecraft Movie (2025). The line landed in cinemas full of teenagers who had arrived pre-loaded with popcorn, and the resulting chaos made news worldwide. The clip works as a celebration sound, an interruption, or a quick way to test how fast a Discord call can fall apart.
Are these the real in-game sounds?
They are the clips people actually share, at the quality a soundboard needs: short and instantly recognisable. If you want pristine source audio for a serious project, extract it from your own copy of the game. For edits, reactions and pranks, these load faster and get the same laugh.
